Daily Mail ‘Health Hero Awards’ launched

Health Heroes Dr Glen Allaway and Ian Sefi, who nominated him

Do you know a health hero? To help celebrate the NHS’s 70th birthday, The Daily Mail is asking us to nominate special people in healthcare.

They want to honour the men and women who work tirelessly for their patients, going the extra mile.

It could be a healthcare assistant who takes time to comfort a patient in the lonely hours of the night. Or a GP who won’t leave a stone unturned to provide the best treatment. It might be a hospital volunteer whose arrival lifts the mood on a ward. Or the devoted surgeon, nurse, receptionist or paramedic for whom no effort is too great.

Five finalists will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to a ‘Health Hero Awards’ gala in London – and the winner will also be given a £5,000 holiday.

To make a nomination, visit www.dailymail.co.uk/healthheroes.

The closing date for nominations is midnight on Tuesday 31 July 2018.
